Axle Tied Down Bracket Kit
* recommended to be a very experience welder or supply to a welding shop for proper installation *
Included in this kit:
4 Axle Tie Down Brackets
Tools and equipment:
-eye protection glasses or face shield, hearing protection, and suggested leather gloves and anything else for safety
-grinder with flap wheels, and or grinder disks, or wire wheel
-welder and safety equipment for welding or supply to a shop for welding.
-recommended: Vice
-cressent wrenches, channel locks, or equivalent
Installation:
*** Again make sure wear hearing, eye, and hand protection***
Step 1: for each bracket stick bracket in vice or some sort of equivalent tool to help bend brackets. Then using cressent wrenches bend the brackets to the desired angle (this gives extra strength to brackets and pulls away from axle to clear chains, binders, or ratchet straps) as seen in picture.
Step 2: Once you reach your desired angle it is best to test fit on the location of your axle you want to mount your tie down brackets.
Step 3: Weld the open seem from where you have bent the tie down brackets
Step 4: Clean off paint in desired area to weld to your axles
Step 5: Weld Axle tie down brackets to your axle let cool and paint if desired
